What this website does and doesn't do with your data — in plain language, not legalese.

borisdracka.com collects almost nothing. No cookies, no advertising pixels, no profiling. The site is static HTML. A few pages use small bits of client-side JavaScript purely for visual effects, like scroll animations — none of that code collects data, sets cookies, or talks to any server. The one exception is a privacy-focused analytics script (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that counts visits in aggregate, described below. If you subscribe to the newsletter, that happens on a separate platform (Beehiiv), described below.

This website does not set any cookies and does not store anything in your browser's local storage. There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or advertising tracker on any page of this site. Fonts used on this site are hosted directly on this domain rather than loaded from Google's servers, so loading a page does not send data about your visit to Google.
To understand how many people visit the site and how fast pages load, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused measurement service from Cloudflare, Inc. When a page loads, a small script sends Cloudflare aggregate technical data: the page address, the referring site, country, browser, operating system, device type and page-performance timings. As with any web request, Cloudflare receives your IP address when the script loads. According to Cloudflare, this service does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors across sites. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating and improving the site. You can block the script with a content blocker or by disabling JavaScript; the site works the same without it. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details.
The "Subscribe" button takes you to a signup page on Beehiiv (borisdracka.beehiiv.com), a third-party newsletter platform. If you sign up there, Beehiiv processes your email address on its own infrastructure, under its own privacy policy — including any transfer of data outside the EU/EEA, which Beehiiv covers in its own terms. Boris Dračka receives your email address through Beehiiv in order to send you the CFO Unfiltered newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like any web host, GitHub's infrastructure may log basic technical request data (such as IP address and timestamp) as part of normal server operation and security monitoring. This site has no direct access to those server logs.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data held about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. For anything Boris Dračka directly controls (such as an email you send to the contact address above), reach out to likeaCFO@borisdracka.com. For your newsletter subscription data, you can also exercise these rights directly with Beehiiv.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Slovakia, that's the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR).
